I was running an errand today and noticed a bank right beside where I was at. I don't bank with this company, but I thought I would go in and ask if they had any $0.50, $1.00 or pennies. She went to the back and came out with a taped envelope that had a breakdown of $19.07 worth of coins. She set it down and was going to open it and count it and I heard that sweet sound that silver makes!! So, I said I was good with the total (I was worried she might open it and see the silver and not sell it to me) and I paid her cash for it since I didn't have an account with them. I opened it and was very happy to find the following!! Edited by Enyaw 09/09/2024 4:32 pm

She broke every banking rule there is by not opening the envelope and verifying the count in it . Lucky she did not get fired.

Pacificoin, she could have taken loose coins that were brought in (by a shady character?) and put them in the envelope herself, to be sent back to the Mint for melting.
Enyaw, great find, no metal detector needed.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. As an aside the coin count was correct at $19.07, haha!! Nothing else fantastic but there was this nice red 1940 cent!
