That's just environmental damage. Most likely in the ground at one point.

Ah, thank you for that. I wasn't sure if that counted or not for coins that changed color.

And I did find the coin near the salt water, so I guess it would change it color.

I just found it neat. I love learning new things, so thank you for changing it too. I do feel bad when I post in the wrong spot.
