These seem to be pretty rare, but just found this one in a roll. Quite a wide spread on LIBERTY and a die I very much like so decided to share some pics. 1943 Lincoln Wheat cent doubled die - DDO-022

I simultaneously thought both DD and trail dies. Either way, it's tres cool.

Thanks for the kind comments! There are a couple other listed dies from this year with doubling below the TY, and I think I have found one or two unlisted ones, so always worth looking there.

Nice DDO. I'm always checking that area but have yet to find one with the doubling to the south of LIBERTY. Thanks for confirming because I thought I remembered you discovered at least one with the doubling south on LIBERTY. As much as this year has been searched, I would imagine your discovery varieties would be pretty scarce.

Pete, true I do have one listed and it's rather a nice one - DDO-025. But I have several others that remain unlisted. They are surprisingly hard to see at a glance and easy to miss. But there are dozens of unlisted doubled dies for that year, mostly doubled eyelids but others as well. I got WDDO-046 listed at some point, and on the 1943-S I got DDO-005, a really nice DDO, and DDR-006. So new dies are still out there to be found. Plus just got in an ebay pick of the DDR-013/DDO-012 coin so still lots of listed ones floating around out there as well.
