I was looking through my pocket change and found this pretty 1964 Jefferson. I took some pics but they don't do it justice. It has a nice rainbow hue to it. I haven't come across any nickles this old in such great shape. It's really crisp for the age and the circulation.
Yes that is a beauty, even with the super high mintage, you have encountered an early strike it appears and I do see a good number of steps in the detail. This date, especially D mints are pretty darn scarce in this condition. Would be a keeper in my collection .... forever. CONGRATS!
Very nice. I see tons of 1964s when I roll hunt nickels, and I've never seen one that nice. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen that kind of toning on a nickel!
