Here is one I have had in my collection for a few years now. Just started learning about Hawaii numismatics. Seems there were not very many of these made. Still looking for more info if anybody knows anything.

Quote: Your reply was split into its own topic for the proper attention. Thanks, I thought @DrDarryl thread "Post Your Hawaii Related Tokens, Medals, And Exonumia" was where it belonged. Most of the info I have gotten on it has been from things he wrote, so I thought I might get extra info by posting in his thread of related items. Oh well. Hi everyone.

It was certainly a good place to share it, but I was afraid no one would notice your follow-up question. Most viewers of that topic would compliment the nice example and then move on. Hopefully now you will get some answers.

This website states that this "Save the Dolphin" reverse was issued in 1997 by the Royal Hawaiian Mint, and that information about them (mintage etc) on the RHM's own website is missing. The Royal Hawaiian Mint is a private mint, not affiliated with the Hawaiian government nor the Hawaiian royal house, founded by Bernard von NotHaus - who later became famous/notorious for establishing the NORFED alternative currency and the Free Marijuana Church.

I had seen that thread, but that was a gold guilded one from a jewelry piece. Mine is solid gold. Was trying to get in touch with DrDarryl (the writer of the Hawaii Numismatist blog), since he seems to know a lot about these pieces, but new members are not allowed to message.

Let me know if this image quality is good enough. If not, I can take another photo tomorrow.
