Hi everyone, I have a 50-cent coin from 1836, and I'm curious about varieties for this year. Can anyone help identify if this coin belongs to any variety? THx in advance

Start with the T & I alignment on the Reverse to narrow it down.

Chronos, see this link for some good tips on identifying capped bust half varieties.

Also, I like NGC much better than PCGS for reviewing images of all of the different varieties.

1836 O-115 R-3.

I saw the T-I obliterated from the strike weakness, which I assumed was a characteristic of the marriage. Searching the maibockaddict T-I alignment page, I scrolled until I found one that displayed similar weakness. Confirmed with aligning the sides of the scroll to the legend, and glancing at the denomination, everything lines up which confirms the reverse.

On the obverse, star 5 is punched noticeably closer to the bust than the other stars. The closer spacing between stars 9 and 10 confirms the obverse.
Suffering from bust half fever.
