Ok so checking my pocket change and found this.
1987 D quarter
Weight 5.34g
Diameter 24mm
Thickness 1.75mm
The last photo that has 3 coins are to show the difference from 2 other quarters and the middle coin is the coin in question.
It's under weight and rim looks different for sure. Doesn't have wear on it to drop it .33 below weight so I wanted to get suggestions. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Text Book example of acid exposed quarter. Copper core is softer metal than the cupro-nickel layers, so dissolves faster.

Right - pure copper dissolves faster than 75% copper/25% nickel (clad layers)
