Picked this coin up for $46. Some small black marks on reverse but I thought it looked like it had AU sharpness.

Do your photos represent the actual look of the surfaces? Appears to be completely lacking in luster.

Agree with AU range for wear.

I do agree that the surface wear places the coin in the AU range.

I do wonder, however, if the multiple surface disturbances on the obverse (northwest quadrant) and overall "gray" appearnace of the coin would downgrade it to high XF in today's "market grading" scale?

I'd consider it in the lower AU range, likely details as it looks like it was wiped in the past and has retoned a bit to me. $46 is not a bad price regardless.
