1991-P Lincoln Penny - Obverse Errors?

CoinChat89 Valued Member United States 86 Posts	Posted 11/03/2024 6:24 pm I came across this head scratcher that I'm hoping ya'll can shed some light on. This penny has 3 extra objects on the obverse that shouldn't be there. 1. The big circle (almost looks like a Q) on the right. It resembles a mint mark, but those belong down by the date (also, there is no O or Q mint mark lol). 2. He has another little circle coming out of his nose. 3. There's an extra round bump on his jacket (almost looks like a button). It weighs the traditional 2.5 grams. Thoughts on this one? Report this Post to the Staff

Debris gets trapped between the copper plating and the zinc core.Not considered an error and is kinda common. It has no premium,but as long as you enjoy your find and want to keep it, by all means do so. John1 Report this Post to the Staff
