ST. CHARLES, Mo. — A vendor at a St. Charles coin show reported the theft of $250,000 worth of collectible currency from his hotel room on July 19, leading to charges against a fellow vendor who had been sharing the room.

Was thief a casual acquaintance from prior coin shows or some guy who answered a "share a hotel room" ad for the upcoming coin show? Apparently, the victim was too trusting. Hope all his stuff was recovered.

Thief doesn't sound very bright. Talk about an obvious suspect.

Looks like the thief was doing meth. Difficult for them to be honest, do the right thing, be responsible when addicted. They can't be trusted.
