Thanks for the input, here's my attempt at some better pictures. I hope you can make out what appears to be doubling on some letters of the motto, and liberty, but for some reason the pictures came out VERY small...... huntsman53 Valued Member United States 224 Posts	Posted 05/12/2009 11:08 am IMHO, it is Machine (Strike) Doubling! Note that the doubling is South primarily on the first "9" and the "6" in the Date and the Mintmark is doubled Southward as well. Frank Report this Post to the Staff
coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 05/13/2009 09:17 am I am relatively certain of the same thing, but the doubling on the mintmark is much sharper than the doubling on the date. That's what I would need to confirm on the coin to be able to assess whether it's Machine Doubling. Report this Post to the Staff
