My questions are mainly about reverse. Could it be doubling along the bottom of the steps of Memorial ? The outside of the first column also looks doubled. It isn't part of the column due to the fact it goes way up beyond the length of the column. The D also looks strange, but is most likely due to DD. Thoughts please.

Are you talking about on the reverse below the steps and running a long left side of first column? or both?

Common issue considered environmental and PMD. As the coin ages and if zinc is exposed to the environment the zinc blooms and the coin bubbles and deteriorates over time.

Both, it's just a plating issue, very common with the zincolns.
