So there is a discoloring which includes what I would call a ghosted image of the "D" mint mark which appears to be the correct size but location is out of place. Thoughts appreciates as I could not find any insights online let alone any differences in stamps between the two mints, obviously beyond the mint mark!!!

To CCF! We're going to need much better photos and a close up of the area in question.
Errers and Varietys.

So you are saying there is a misplaced D mintmark on the reverse of the coin?

How about this one.having to deal with 300k max file size Looking straight at the coin, it's very hard to see, but not at an angle

@marve65. No only misplaced but these is no raised "D" at all.just a metallic discolored D and streaks (like some patina)
Going to try and get a sunlight pic of it tomorrow to better capture this

You're talking about that mark below the olive branch? That's just a weird stain.

Looks like just a stain. Pareidolia definitely comes into play .

If you're talking about the "D" next to the olive branch, it could be stain or some form of toning, definitely not cause by the Mint.
Edit: 3 minutes late in my reply.

Just Pareidolia, folks. It was swamp gas reflecting some light from Venus. You will keep collecting coins, you will not forget that coin is 90% silver, and you will have a wonderful evening on Coin Community Family forum. Thank you for your attention.

looks like half of the reeded edge is not reeded anymore. A better image of that area will help out.

Okay, here's a couple new pics and hopefully people can see the "D" is just like the size of a normal mint mark.could not be the result of another coin coming into contact as it would be reversed If truly some sort of extraordinary stain, then I ask the expert here if there is a physical difference between the two mints I could look for? Thanks

Hmm, that stain is giving the appearance of the mintmark, but is paridolia. The real mm would be a tad farther up from where that stain is.
