I'm hesitant to use the term "doubled", but there is definitely something up with Lincoln on this penny. His image basically looks heavily bolded. In addition to images of the obverse and reverse, I included a side by side with another penny (1973-P) for Lincoln comparison.

What's this called?

Thanks for looking

The dies used in the early to late 60s (up to '68) were different than dies used after 68--where the design was 'redone'. Your 68 looks very normal to me.

When comparing, always use the same date and even same mint mark helps.

As others have said, compare to like years. Here is a link to save to help with the obverse and reverse changes over the years.
