*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

I have run across a couple of coins that look like this and it looks different than ones that have environmental damage to me. It doesn't have the pitting environmental or chemical damage does. Just curious what is to blame when they look like this.
It was hard to get accurate pictures, but I did the best I could.
Thanks!

I believe that is called an "orange peel texture". It's caused by pitted dies.

It could have been on an acid trip. What is the weight of your coin, Ondiwave?

I'm thinking the result of exposure to a corrosive environment. Yes, an accurate weight to two decimal places would tell us more.

Hi all! I didn't save it as I see them from time to time and didn't think to weigh it. But I believe it is the orange peel texture that @sickpuppy mentioned. It didn't appear to be post acid trip lol

My thoughts, one left on the asphalt too long. Unlike most people, I'll bend over to pick up dropped change and I've seen plenty that look similar.
