This clash also appears intentionally abraded, particularly on the obverse. TrueView images of the 1976-D Quarter Washington's neck and chin are visible through the torch flame. His lips are found between two stars, and a bit of face is found below the drummer's wrist. Report this Post to the Staff

The obverse also has some cloudy toning that has a fingerprint. @Dearborn: that link will take you to the PCGS cert and a huge TrueView image of the coin.
