1976-D Bicentennial Die Clash In PCGS Slab MS-65.

Recently added to my collection, this coin is a second example of a bicentennial quarter die clash. This clash also appears intentionally abraded, particularly on the obverse.

TrueView images of the 1976-D Quarter

Washington's neck and chin are visible through the torch flame. His lips are found between two stars, and a bit of face is found below the drummer's wrist.

I have to be honest, when I look at the coin in the holder, that rainbow toning looks artificial to me. The obverse also has some cloudy toning that has a fingerprint.

@Dearborn: that link will take you to the PCGS cert and a huge TrueView image of the coin. I didn't want to post it directly because I don't know the copyright rules for their images.
