1964 Lincoln Cent, Doubling Or Just Die Deterioration?

Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6495 Posts	Posted 11/29/2024 4:19 pm Cents are not my wheelhouse, but I am helping a friend work through a hoard of LMC-LSC. I ran across this 1964 cent with a date and Liberty that was visibly much thicker than the other 1964 cents. I did not find a match on CC, VV, Wexler, but since I'm not familiar with Lincoln cents, it's also possible that I made a mistake. Is this some form of minor DDO or just Die Deterioration or another easily explained phenomenon? Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe some closeups of what you are questioning? ADDED: I saw where you had more info under the last pic.
