The good: Beautiful original coin and AU53-AU55 range.

The bad: It's a common variety and IMO it would have to come back as a really PQ AU58 or -- if Uncirculated -- a solid MS62 to justify what you paid for it. It's a seller's market right now.

My verdict: If it looks better in hand, or ends up being Uncirculated, you have an attractive coin to keep and admire, but otherwise your purchase price was definitely full retail (or quite a bit over that if it's an average/average- coin.)

Very little circulation on this piece. I'd guess AU55 with a strong eye appeal.

Hard to tell with the toning. I think there is light rub on the cheek and cap. I'd say AU-58. Price seems a bit strong

That's a nice one look at the details the bust looks lifelike but there looks like some rub on high spots so AU but that's one of the nicer coins I've seen from this series.

This is a common date and a common variety, but what I like about the 104 is that the STATES in the reverse looks like it was engraved by a 5-year old that can't quite lay out block letters evenly spaced out around the coin. Not something we see with modern coinage.

I don't see it as MS-62. My guess would have been AU-58.

With these pics, hard to grade the reverse cameo high points.

That's where TPG has the advantage; they have better lighting conditions, and can examine with a 10X loupe, hand held.

With high MS coins above this one, even the undisturbed luster under heavy toning on the high points can be hard to assess with on screen pics.

Despite this, I am happy enough with the TPG in this case.

the slabbed photo is much better than the originals. you would have received different grades if you posted that

MS62 is correct. nice coin
