What is the worst that could happen on sending it in to be graded? they would test it somehow right? it would be nice to know what other tests we could do other than is it magnetic, weight, and does the 3 have that tail. so, I think sending it in is the right move. then either way, it it turns out to be a fake then I will have something to compare any others I find lol "Yeah right" to, or if it's real you all will have something to compare others to. With all the errors out there, let's be honest, there is no real way of knowing unless something is way off. like a weight, is it steel, copper, or bronze, anything else unless it says fake on it. or a different president lol would be speculation.
Thank You all for your help, I will keep you all informed on what's going on. :)

It's not a legitimate coin. Save your money.
Errers and Varietys.

They absolutely will not go any further. They will see the same die chip and body bag it. Guaranteed. They are very aware of the fake die markers. Horrible move and a HUGE waste of money. I've seen literally hundreds upon hundreds of these and get them removed from ebay on a weekly basis. Got 1931-s removed from ebay just yesterday with that exact same reverse.

The reverse surface looks so much like a casting. Doesn't even resemble a struck fake.

to the CCF I would stay far away from those 3 NY area dealers if they were truly stumped by this coin.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.artToo many hobbies .... too much work .... not enough time.

Maybe the dealers were just politely "stumped".
Also, don't ignore the danger that they dismiss the coin, then it turns out to be real and worth $100,000, and their shop makes headlines for being ignorant about rare coins. They might not see a hard opinion as worth the risk.

Dan: As Previously stated: " Unfortunately, I'm in the fake camp. The rim, the date & Abe's face, IMO, do not look right. " The Profile and Smile tell it All...... Thanks for posting Dan.

Obvious fake, the portrait and devices are way too soft.
