Purchased on ebay as a clearly identified error coin. The lamination runs above the E of ONE to the base of the memorial.

Would be curious to know if this is definitely a lamination error, or some kind of die damage or other planchet issue.

Good pics. I'm really not sure, but an incipient lam seems possible.

Very cool, Brand! That seems like a good call on what it is but have not seen one quite like it. Look forward to hearing others thoughts.

Nice wordsmithing, frog! Had to look up "incipient".

Yes, agree. Interesting to see a lam on a proof coin......

Looks to me like 2 separate issues are located in that area. Possible lam on the left..wondering what's that on the right ? (like a blotted lam before the crinkle? [for lack of a better term])

Strange for a proof coin.

I had the same thought as Greasy. The thick bar on the right doesn't quite strike me as a lamination, the same way as that crinkled, folded edge does. Maybe there are two problems happening simultaneously on this cent? Or maybe that is some kind of lamination inside the coin, slowly corroding away and lifting the surface?

I'll go with laminations here
