I have this 1980 P Quarter and it's safe to say I have never seen this before. What might this be called? And the mint mark looks little jacked up too

Looks like a normal quarter with circulation damage.

The mint mark--already small when the coin left the mint--was exposed to circulation dings/hits and 'flattening'. It's always possible there could be a die chip inside the P as well. In all, the coin looks like a typical, circulated '80 P quarter.

I agree, a normal coin with a broken post which makes a filled Mint Mark. Very normal.

I lean toward damage, but agree it could be a broken post.

Appears to be a Die Crack. Does it connect to the other side of the rim?
