In this 1953 S penny, the mint mark appears to have been struck over something else. Your help will be appreciated.

You need to provide a close up of the mint mark so it can be assessed, from the picture provided it is not possible.

we need a close up image of the MM/date area, not a cropped image of the first pic you posted. Use the zoom function on your phone to get in a bit closer.
