Since 1973 I've been stashing my change in a jar. When it gets too full I save the interesting and cash in the rest. Looked through them recently and caught the bug again, especially after looking through the silver
Roosevelt dimes and other silver coins I bought at work in 1985, when I noticed an employee ready to empty a roll of dimes wrapped in an very old roll paper.
So, I bought the two rolls he had and headed for the bank for more. He caught on and went down the block with me to the bank to get more rolls. We agreed to split the silver equally on the next rolls. The teller sold us a few more rolls. Then she caught on, looked down at her supply and said, "Sorry, I ran out." No telling how many she got. Over the years I forgot the how fine they were. Some appear uncirculated and all are in excellent condition.
I haven't kept up with the collecting knowledge in years, though. I'm here to learn, meet new collector friends, and hear your stories!
