Still looks VF to me and I don't see evidence of cleaning from these pics. Congrats!

Awesome pick! Perfect example of buying the coin and not the holder.
CAC will not sticker a details coin, no exceptions.

You hit a home run with that one -- knocked it out of the park!
CAC will only sticker a details coin if CACG slabs it ;)

I finally got around to cracking this out. I don't see any hairlines to speak of. Twirling it around under light with magnification, plenty of random wear lines and some nicks. However, there seems to be some hallowing around the obverse stars and the fields are not exactly uniform in appearance. I would lean towards old cleaning and re-toned. Regardless, I like it, and much nicer than some of the others in the collection. So what do you all think, opinions the same or changed?

Still like the color and feel it's VF condition. It does have a look of an old cleaning with darkness around the details. Really is a great hole filler in a set or a wonderful type coin on it's own. I think you did well with your purchase price.

They may have been looking at the area on the obverse in front of the face and neck. Still looks like a nice piece for an album and I agree with VF20.

Looks like a VF-25 straight grade to me.

I'm going up 5 points from my original guess VF-25 now, I think it's a hit or miss as to details on any given day at a TPG. Most of these older coins were cleaned at some point, and I've seen way worse looking ones (obviously cleaned) in straight grade holders, in the bust series.
