Just thought this was cool. Looks like maybe it could be string? But it's thick at one end then tappers down. Pretty cool how the top of the shield cut and breaks it apart. Check out at the separations how it's frayed at the ends. Even at the top of S  Thanks for looking and comments. Rob.

are you sure it is not a scratch? (I have to ask) where it transitions from the field at the top to the shield I see a break in the line.

I had to check a Shield Cent earlier today cuz I was thinking the same exact thing.. can be tricky sometimes.
