Aloha,

I just started a coin collection and came across this quarter. Any insight on it would be greatly appreciated. Will these errors increase its value?

@blk, first welcome to CCF. Second, the areas you have shown on this coin look more like damage and circulation flattening to me--not mint errors.

Agreed - all I see are circulation wear and damage. Value is 25 cents.

to the Community.

Above the date half moon scratches : caused by wrapper machine
IGWT : contact mark on the upper O
Reverse : scratches and contact marks.

It would be most useful to study the minting process from planchet to the actual coin, then we realize how some of the anomollies we see on coins could not have possibly occured during the minting process.

to CCF. and a belated Mele Kalikimaka to you from a former Islander.

On your quarter, I see circulation damage to it. No errors noted.
