Hello All, Always thought Lincoln was shot from behind but now I'm questioning everything! Jokes aside, thoughts? Cheers!

Solder or steel bb pellet? An unusual case of PMD.

Could be weld spatter. Definitely didn't leave the mint with that freckle though.

Right - no damage on the back - drop of solder or the likes of.

A BB would probably deform the back. It takes a lot of force to drive metal into metal. I'm on team solder (or weld spatter, etc.).

Meyerstone, I just spent 40 minutes cropping all your uploaded images. Please do this before uploading, it literally only takes about 5 seconds per image.

You have 149 uploaded images, over 100 of them were not cropped.

As for the OPs coin - it could be a molten drop of copper was dropped on the coin to get this effect.
