Wow, that's quite a find. War Nickels are probably the most heavily scrutinized Jefferson nickels, so the odds of a new DDO after all these years is slim. The eye is quite interesting, too. I believe that the only other major JN doubled die on the eye is also a War Nickel (1943-P 5c FS-103 or 106, if I recall correctly). Will you submit for official verification? I am partial towards Wexler for nickels, but Variety Vista is also top notch. |

after sending pictures to CONECA and taking better pictures of the D mint mark it was determine that it was also RPM-1 and DDR-001 with the marker on the far right window , what makes the DDO be DDO-002 , DDO-002/rpm-001/DDR-001 , so not a new DDO but still a nice DDO / DDR/rpm.    Edited by uruman

The DDO-002 images do not show a doubled eye, although their image of the left eye edge is in shadow. I'd be interested in what CONECA had to say about that.
Anyway, congrats on a trifecta. =)
