I was just sorting some coins with a magnifier, and I noticed a line on a 1964 Nickel that I thought was odd on Jefferson's shoulders. As I looked closer, I could see the letters for "cents" in Jefferson's hair. Then, I realized I could read Unum under Jefferson's bust. I have personally not seen this.

When you look closer, you can seem more than most of Pluribus Unum. I also think you can see most of United States over top of the In God We Trust.
Does this count as an error? Is this a common error? The reverse seems to have a lot of wear.

Any information or thoughts on this are appreciated.

thanks
W

Two dead give aways that this coin did not come out of Mint this way: it was sandwiched in between anothe coin and squeezed by a tool called vise.
1- Flattening on the reverse
2- Backwards lettering impressions on the obverse.

Agree with above. A very popular past-time, crushing coins together.
