Australia has released many coins recently featuring snacks/foodstuff (branded or otherwise). I wonder if any other countries have resorted to "advertising" food companies/brands on their coins. Feel free to post coins featuring processed snacks, drinks, meals, condiments etc (no simple fruit or veggies) 2019 Australia $1 - M for meat pie Apparently a pie only has to contain 1% meat to be classified as a meat pie. 2023 Australia $2 set - Centenary of Vegemite A thick, dark brown food spread made from leftover brewers' yeast extract with various vegetable and spice additives. 2019 Australia $1 - Z for zooper dooper Ice blocks in plastic tubes that come in 8 flavours. Lime is the best

Fun idea for a thread @mach! In the States, we call those Zooper Doopers by "Flav-o-ice". Growing up, we used the color as the flavor--and yes, green flavor was my favorite.

Quote: Is there any black pudding in that English Breakfast? I don't think so, unless it's hidden by the 'E'.

@mach, are tokens within scope for this thread? If so, then I've got a couple from the US to contribute I think. For example, here is a wooden nickel from a whoopie pie festival held in Maine each year:

Quote: are tokens within scope for this thread? Not really.but that is an interesting piece. I know there were a lot of tokens you could exchange for a loaf of bread or a pint of milk etc and I guess many restaurants released some kind of token worth a free meal but this thread is really about coins. I've seen some Pepsi coins posted elsewhere that belong on this thread.
