I recently purchased an uncirculated roll of 1995 Lincoln cents at the FUN show looking for the DDO (I did not find one). I did find what looks to be mad die clashes. I am not very knowledgeable on the topic but looked through some other posts here and a couple other sites. I just want another opinion on what it could be because I am at a loss. The "clashes" are above the eye on Lincoln's forehead. One looks to be PLU on the forehead and the other looks to be BER on the forehead and the B is in Lincoln's hair. It says I am not supposed to post pictures of screens so these are the closest photos I can get at the moment. If these are not sufficient I can see what I can do with a loop.

@roll, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes I see those same odd marks on Abe's forehead. However, they aren't die clashes, but rather just mechanical damage to the coin after the coin was struck. Die clashes almost always happen on the highest points of the dies (which would be the fields on this coin).

I have not been to a Fun Show but have heard they are really cool!

Some clear closeups would be good but odds are that another coin, pressed against these, has made the impressions that you are seeing.

Thank you Spence for the explanation. I was very hesitant on it being a clash and your explanation makes perfect sense.

No Die Clash. Just die abrasion marks and Split Plating. https://www.error-ref.com/split-plating/

The head could just be showing contact marks.

The marks in question are not the file marks or plate splitting. It's the marks on the forehead/hair. I will upload some close ups when I get a chance.

Looks like PMD - maybe even Reed Marks.
