Was it "$500,000 in coins" or "$500,000 worth of coins?"

Her story sounds suspicious, I can't say that I buy it.

Lol, there is a section on that website to see who was arrested (with mugshots) on a daily basis. Interesting.

Being prior law enforcement, her story sounds suspicious as well. I would first ascertain what it is she does for a living. That would pretty much tell me everything I need to know. Then, her poodle stolen as well. Doesn't add up. Also, who keeps $500,000 in coins and $4,000 in cash in their home.

I hear you Dave. I've never met someone living in a trailer that happened to own half million dollars worth of coins. Sounds more like an idea to attempt a big insurance claim....which won't happen anyway unless she happened to have specific coin insurance policy. A policy on coins of that value requires a LOT of documentation and independent apprasial.

Evidently she was as crazy as a sprayed cockroach. Those types of folks are a dime a dozen around here!

Living in a trailer with $500k of coins? Sounds like she's living the dream. I'll bet she's Busch light's best customer!

It says at the bottom of the article that the police now say there were no coins, so it looks like she made it up or was just confused

Maybe she had a common date Barber quarter in a SGS holder saying MS-70 (actual grade around G-4), and she lost it.

The most important question remains unanswered. What happened to the $6k poodle? Perhaps it's in Canada with the 1933 Double Eagle.
