Other than finding it in the box (saved from 2000 or 2001?), how do you tell it apart from the rest? Heavy, wing detail is a tough one! I would imagine that most were sent into circulation as there was no knowledge that it was to be a rarity. I find it hard to find the "heavy accented hair" on a Kennedy slabbed that way. Maybe, I am getting too old to see the nuances......I find neat coins, just do not know what to do with them if the VAM book or site and or all the books I keep investing in do not have much to go by. I am very happy to have found this site......If I can help anyone by letting them know where I find a good deal as I am on the net a lot or needs P mints or rolls as I do not find D mints here in Maryland...let me know how I can help you.

The actual number of certified Cheerios Sackies is quite small, which is the reason for the sky-high prices. It has now been discovered that not even every coin in the Cheerios packaging is the pattern design so that original 5500 mintage has now shrunk to an unknown number.

The vast majority of the Cheerios coins were probably either spent or currently reside in someone's shoebox o' stuff or a junk drawer. The ones that were spent are virtually irretrievable- even if the entire 5500 mintage were released, they would only make up 1 in 140,000 2000Ps.
