Acquired for $35 on ebay, a 1941-S Jefferson nickel in an ANACS slab. The FS-501 Large S is not attributed on the slab. Curious what people would grade this coin.

Since the price was approximately the same as a raw Large S, I'm curious how folks would handle the coin to maximize value—leave it as-is, variety attribute with ANACS, crack the slab, et cetera.

Good catch! Leave it in the slab. MS-62 would be my guess.

Looks like some great luster! I'd say at least MS-65, possibly 66. I think I'd leave it in the current slab and mark the attribution with a label.

Nice coin and grade, Brandmeister! I would've guessed MS-64.
