Would these be considered die chips or something else considering they about the same shape and go in the same direction?

Hard to tell for sure, I'm sure you'll do better with future photo quality,
but following the shadows, those features appear to be Circulation hits/dings
or PMD. Maybe Reed Marks from another coin hit.

disregard. you are right. Have you ever seen that picture where your looking at the bottom of a 3 sectioned plate and it looks like it is upside down, but in reality it was right side up or visa versa? That is exactly what my eyes did......... wow......

@oob, one other thing to consider with future coins is that a series of roughly parallel linear marks on cents might be linear plating bubbles. I don't think that this is what you have for this coin, but thought that you might see something like that down the road. Also, welcome to CCF!
