This 1994 Canadian 1 cent has this massive doubling affect, Anyone here have a reference on the proper name of this. I did a search on coin sites but can't pin point it.

It looks to me like Die Deterioration Doubling ( DDD) and a huge reflection of whatever light you are using. They are very common, I think.

I agree with that assessment. It is easier to see than with the full photos, the close up shots can deceive the eye here.

I purposely took these pictures that way to catch the light, that is how big it is outlining the devices. One of the best I ever found.

Understood. The lighting is helpful on the full shots, at least for me since it has some context and shows just how much the die has deteriorated. Once I recognized the context, I feel better about saying it is DDD when viewing the closer shots.

I hope I was not trying to discourage the close up shots. I am not. But I am very happy you included the full shot, which more times than not other people forget. So, thank you for that.

Yes this particular coin was tricky to photograph. I do include a full coin shot in every post now regardless. The objective with the pictures is to put you the viewer in the eye piece of the microscope what I see with 100% results in feed back.

I agree that it's Die Deterioration Doubling.
