Out of the box of improperly stored coins from my aunt were 4 Peace dollar coins. Two were 1928 P!

I soaked in acetone overnight, twice as it was quite gunky.

I believe this is Die 1 but see no VAMs

This coin, and coin 2 (to be posted shortly), has a die crack on the lower left of the bust and I can't find any information/reference of it. Would you please help direct me to a link?

Estimated grade?

Thank you!!!

I'll guess somewhere from AU to MS.

to the CCF

The obverse image suggests AU range.

The reverse image is way too small to even have a clue

Hard to tell from the pictures. Obverse looks AU but reverse looks MS.

to The Community!

Kudos to your Aunt for saving this!

Looks 62/63'ish to me.

Best bet is to quit messing with it and send it in for professional conservation and grading. That would be your best chance to get a TPG straight grade.

Nice coin no matter what it grades!

I'm also goin with lower MS on this one. I think it would be better than MS61 so MS62 or even 63. it probably could grade straight especially if its conserved

if you send these in give us update

The first one looks like a 1923.

I would suggest AU-58. Very hard to grade this one from pictures.
