They stopped making pennies? Since when?
Are you referring to the executive order to do so? A president cannot stop the production of coins. Only Congress can do so.

I just put a order in for a box at my local bank! I havent ordered any boxes in years maybe this will get me back going again lol

The President can tell the Treasury to stop the Mint from making them, just as a previous one did for the dollar coins. In the latter case, they became NIFC, which I expect the same for the cent because those are sold for well above cost. Quote:
