So I know I'm late to the party and home to get a response but I have a coin in different condition with the same thing that leads me to believe a knife is false also being that my coins is off center in the reverse
Yeah it took me forever just to figure out how to get it to to upload and I'm not disagreeing completely with being a scratch as I am new to coin collecting but I thought it was a bit odd to stumble across a identical one
and once again my attention to detail fails me I appreciate the feedback though this is the first forum I've been to with just honest feedback and not spoke to like a complete idiot
Looks like JD had the same answer I was going to provide.
Your scratch IS very similar, but for it to be a mint produced die crack it will need to be in the same identical location. Now I have a thought here, did the same person that scratched the original coin create this one? or did somebody see it and decided to replicate it? Highly unlikely but possible. I think that the scratch was a random coincidental occurrence
