Just wondering what years they are most common in and is there a list of the years to focus on for these kinds of error coins?

The 1955 one is pretty obvious, but how do you catch the others that are not as obvious like Coop has many images from. I just feel like those are so easy to overlook!

There is no simple answer for your question. This will take you to a page with multiple links to study and check out the different doubled dies and errors to look for.

As makecents said, that is a loaded question. Years that have a lot of listings should yield a better chance at finding some just because there are more opportunities to find something. Keep in mind that 1 cent coins are the most searched US coin so that plays a factor as well. I've had good luck with newer nickels and ATB Quarters and I believe that's because the average person don't know where or what to look for. Sometimes you can hit a jackpot getting customer wrapped rolls from the bank - inherited collections get wrapped and dumped at the bank. In the end though, its about putting the time in searching through thousands and thousands of coins.
