I'm aware this poor 1936 Wheat penny has seen better days but what's this called? Never seen it before.....

The area by trust may just be a stain. I can't tell for sure. The area in the hair looks like someone is doing brain surgery on old Abe and is a very nice lamination peel. Very nice find!!

For fun, try soaking the coin in 100% acetone.

It's not stains....ugh I hate that pictures don't show you what I'm seeing!
I don't have acetone....I don't even have a dollar to my...oh wait yeah I do in change LOL
I promise you neither one are.... probably not worth anything in this condition huh?

Just staining. Sometimes the copper will be etched by some kind of chemical. PMD.
