Came across this while I was virtual window shopping. I would assume this coin would be particularly valuable for it to have its own individual mint.

Not only is it wrongly attributed but also misleading. Is it just me or does the date look butchered. Perhaps a product of mint processing but they should still know themselves before they put their coin up for auction

looks to me on the pix like D ( Munich mint). worth about $ 2-10.
could it be a D?
B Mint (hannover) never made 1 mark pieces between 1878 and 1916.

Did you tell the seller he had a D mint? It could be a simple typo. Some dealers hire typists to post descriptions and the typist may know nothing about coins.

I think the date problem is likely caused by the shadow - however, I would ask for a picture of the coin taken OUTSIDE of the holder before I would bid. In a holder - especially an eccentric one - you really have no idea what you are bidding on.

Until I get to know a dealer I rarely attribute errors like this to intentional deception and in this case I have dealt with this guy and find him to be honest.
