Missed by a day! Texas adopted/signed its Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836 at a Convention held at Washington-on-the-Brazos.

Happy (belated) Independence Day Texas!

Indeed - happy belated Independence Day

Just because I can - showing the same coin & year in well circulated state:

1934 Texas Independence Centennial Half Dollar PCGS AG03

Nothing left but profiles in outline. Fortunately for me the date on this design is the lowest profile of all the legends and inscriptions, otherwise this was not be identifiable.

Sweet Example of a " Classic Commemorative " Commems,

Having these to see Here is awesome, Thanks.

This 1934 Texas Commemorative coin's Obverse is Drenched in Details that keep the eyes moving around in Awe.

Now the Reverse is Another Brilliant example of the Same, Plenty of Fine, Intricate details that just flow in Awe also, a Classic-era Classic.

Thanks for sharing, commems!

And, nickelsearcher, that's great example of a heavily-worn Texas half!
