@1dr, first welcome to CCF. Second, the missing L, along with the odd groove around the edge on both sides indicates to me that your cent was previously encased. This counts as damage and doesn't add to the numismatic value.

Yes, encased--intended to be placed in a (jewelry) bezel.

Could have encased in one of the "Lucky Penny" souvenirs or a bezel, for a piece of jewelry.
Doesn't really matter which, it is now a damaged coin worth it's value in copper.
