*** Edited by Staff to clarify the topic title. Please put as much info in the title as you can, they are very important. ***

I apologize for the poor photos (old camera). For a long time now I have been trying to figure out what this could be, is it a doubled die similar to the one on the One Cent 1972 D - DDR or are the die gouges nicely positioned to resemble the DDR 1972 D

Good eye! Not sure if it is a doubled die, may just be a die gouge or dent. It may be worth sending in.

DDR the OP is referring to being similar to. http://varietyvista.com/01b%20LC%20...2DDDR001.htm

Yes, I agree a possible DDR.
Please do not upload screen shots of your scope screen, they are far too pixelated to make out and details. We prefer the actual image your scope generates

In the future, please do not post photos of scope screens. Use the memory card or a USB cable to transfer images.

That being said, looks like a nice find regardless!

On your coin, seems like the possible DDR feature is in a different location/position than the known DDR.
But I agree it looks very possible for a DDR.

Tacc, the listing the OP suggested, and I put a link to, is a D mint, the OP's is a P. The OP was using this as an example of what they were seeing and yes, it is in a different location.
