That's just the way I received it. I didn't try to clean it off or nothing. What should I do?

Sure does look like a big finger or palm print. Not much that be done now.

It's very likely that the print has been on the coin's surfaces for some time. Acetone might work if the print was less than an hour or so old. Aggressive cleaning could remove the print, but then the coin would be irrevocably damaged.

So the coin has no value at all with the print

Big thumb print. You can only remove finger prints if they are newer. Once the oils from the print "eat" into the surface of the coin they are there to stay. I'd say just a face value coin - there were just too many made (2.6 Billion)

AU, not worth any conservation attempt - a print like that cannot be removed anyway. Worth 1 cent.

I've had a couple different coins of that same age with this issue same exact date I mean. And it's definitely not a Palm print or thumbprint either because they're almost identical. Acetone bath has no affect. Has to have something to do with the minting process I think..

Start a post of your own and post pictures of the coins side by side for comparison.

Definitely a fingerprint, no doubt. Just a spender.

If not a finger print explain to me then, just asking to learn, why is there no print on the reverse side? How can you pick it up with one finger and don't say they slide it off a table? Reason I say that is the age of the penny, someone didn't slide it off the table then never put it out in circulation untill recently? Just asking?
