I have been price comparison shopping for various silver bullion rounds and bars. I like sticking with well known places like JM, SD, Monument, APMEX, etc. But I was wondering about Pinehurst Coins on ebay. They are significantly cheaper than the aforementioned dealers in regards to Sunshine Minting rounds and 10oz bars. I have the decoder card to verify authenticity. That aside, has anyone here ordered from them before? How was the quality given the lower price point?

I frequently purchase from Pinehurst and in fact I just received two silver eagles last week from them. Top notch quality and fast shipping. Also they ship the coins in a package labeled "Plumbing Hardware" to avoid any prying eyes. Give them a try, they are sure to please!

Pinehurst is very reputable, although you may want to order direct rather than through ebay, the prices may be better. Also check out SilverGoldBull.

I've purchased from them in years past (when I used to buy silver regularly.) They are close enough to my house that I can drive down to Pinehurst and pick up directly. Great folks to work with back then. Perhaps I should give them another visit!

I've had good experience with Pinehurst. I also like Liberty. The advantage to ebay is that you can use a credit card for points. Not so much for silver but for gold we are getting closer to the point where you have to be more careful about delays in shipping and "excuses" from sellers.

Pinehurst is a reputable dealer on ebay. I've ordered various items (coins and bullion) from them over the years via ebay. Pinehurst used to be independently owned but they are now 100% owned by A-Mark (used to be 49% but last month A-Mark bought the other 51%). A-Mark also bought Stacks Bowers Galleries at the same time. If you're not familiar with A-Mark, they are a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ (symbol AMRK), a direct Authorized Purchaser from the US Mint and the owner of various precious metals dealers including JM Bullion, Provident Metals, BGSAC (Buy Gold and Silver Coins), BullionMax, SIlver Gold Bull, Silver Towne Mint, Goldline, Silver.com, Gold.com and Modern Coin Mart.

I purchased a Sunshine Mint 10oz Silver Bar from them on ebay this evening. I have a decoder lens to verify but they do seem to be trusted. I like the fact I can use a credit card and the shipping is free but if I ordered from let's say SD Bullion or JM Bullion, the cost would be significantly more paying with a credit card. Plus you get free shipping on purchases less than $199.99 so you can buy a smaller quantity.
