Look extremely dodgy to me.

Trying to sell an HPE "gold" coin as "pure gold"

HPE = "Heavy Gold Electroplate"

Well if gold was 8000$ an ounce it would be in the ballpark.

Contains 0.10 troy ounce or 3.11 grams of pure 99.99% gold

As I6609 pointed out, $830.34 is about 3X melt, which is quite a markup.

There's an address for them in the Brisbane CBD but that must be a front.

Their URL doesn't even have .au

They plated it with a total of 1/10 oz gold. It doesn't matter how the gold was incorporated, whether by plating it on a base metal blank or as an alloy, as long as it actually has that full 1/10 oz.

Are you sure that's true?

I got one of those coins in a bulk lot I bought for $20.

It's 16mm and in a capsule so can't weigh it without cracking it out (4.4g with the capsule)

No way there's 3.1 grams of gold in it.
