I have a 25-cent coin with a minting error. The area just below the year 1966 is dented. I've attached photos of the front and side. I'd like to know about its rarity and possible price.

I'm thinking post-strike damage from being in circulation for many, many years--took a hit along the way. Value is 25 cents.

to the CCF, jorgelamyshalom!
I agree with ijn1944 - post-strike damage from circulation, worth only face value.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

To CCF! It's not a mint error. It's a rim bruise from circulation. Just damage ( PMD). Worth 25 cents.

to The CCF! I believe you answered your own question regarding this coin's rarity as you stated it is "dented". 25c value imo.

You called it yourself, it is a dent.
A dent is caused by damage so it is not an error.
