Looks like someone hit it with a torch. It helps us help you if you can post full cropped images of the obverse and reverse of any coins you are asking about too. Also, welcome to the forum. You've come to a phenomenal place to share and learn.

Yes, appears to be post-strike damage. Hope to see full pics of the obverse and reverse.

to CCF. It looks like it spent time in a camp fire or something.

To CCF! Looks like heat damage from a fire. Are you able to get full obverse and reverse pictures?

Heat or a hammer mark making it thin - Still just PMD.

to the CCF It's been hit with a hammer. It's out around and flattened.

Sorry for the wait, couldn't find the dime. My camera made it look charred, however it is not blackened or burnt. Hopefully these help. Thank you so much.

Now I'm thinking it was sanded down. Either way, it's PMD and it's only worth face value.

I think someone hit it with a hammer - it looks out of round.

Quote: Now I'm thinking it was sanded down No. You can see it's out around from a hammer hit.

I appreciate all the comments. I do see what resembles the markings of some kind of tool. It is oblong. Thank you all.
